Nessmuck OP trapper N Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 23,648 New Hampshire	My nephew was taking out the garbage around 9 am this morning...opened the front door and there was a good size Bobcat staring at him....then It ran behind the house and hung out on a downed tree. And just so you know...this is a neighborhood with houses close together...kids riding bikes ..on the paved cul-de-sac. In all my years I have nevah seen a live bobcat. I’ll see if I can get a pic posted up. And cats are protected here in NH. It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

I watched a red fox in the middle of town (in my back yard) who thought he was going to make an easy meal out of our housecat. She had other plans. 30/06 trapper 3 Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 811 Interior Alaska	We occasionally have lynx around our yard, and they act pretty tame. Like they're completely clueless around humans. Once I found one crouching by our mailbox early one bitter cold morning, around -45. It was crouched on the lane all frosted up and I thought it was our neighbor's dog, lost and hypothermic. I hopped out of truck walked up to it saying "here Buddy, let me get you warm." I crouched down and was within 4 feet of it when it stood up and blinked. It was a lynx, and boy was I surprised.
