Don't live in Smithville, but use to work with a lot of folks from there. If you fish, Center Hill Lake is right there. Good smallmouth, largemouth, and crappie. TFHA members in the area. Welcome and good luck with your studies.

Ok thanks! Center Hill is also a good cat fish lake. My grandma pulled a 55lb channel cat out of there in the 80s if they had called it in or whatever it would have been a state record. I am going to be a wildlife and fisheries conversation biologist. And I want to work on center hill for a few years.

You’d be wise to join th TN Trappers forum and ask there too. They used to have 2 forums for the State. Google is ya friend.

That's great I have met some of the Tech wildlife students at our (tfha) booth set-up at the NWTF Convention where the TWRA always have a huge display. I am also the "contact person" for the TFHA to the TWRA and the TFWC. We have made some great friends in the agency. And yes, the cat fishing is great on Center Hill.
