I'm thinking about getting a universal one for my atv. Do you like them? A factor to consider would be height.

I see some extend out to keep wind off hands.

A feature I just noticed is that some windshields come with a quick release...interesting, as I suppose some may not want a windshield all the time.

I have a factory one on mine and yes it is a quick removable , I take it off when its trailered down the road for ice fishing

I live in Duluth and I like a windshield on my ATV. I use it year around with tracks in the winter. I've upgraded to an enclosed trailer so I just leave the windshield on all the time. If you trailer it on an open trailer it will get scratched real easy. My old one I used my dremel and cut the top of the windshield off so I was mostly protected but could easily see over it and not get a wind blast. I just used shoe goo to reattach the edge covering and it worked real well. I also like the hands covered and with hot grips you can adjust the heat and no problem for cold.
