Looks dryer up that way. We got over a inch of rain earlier in week and about 4 inches of snow yesterday here.

Yeah there was about a half inch of rain here and then snow.
I watched the storm on radar and the wirst weather went through south east of here

The beauty of freeze thaw. I've left at 0100-0200 in the morning knowing if I waited till light to check I wouldn't be able to get down the roads. Makes life interesting.

The thaw each day is putting a hurt on our mobility. We have a lot of nice sets in so it shouldn’t be long until we connect. I had a nicely spotted cat check out my set from the side but didn’t commit.

ts been fun so far but the warm temps have caused some travel problems and limits our ability to get around. We haven’t connected on a cat yet but we have been getting visits. 3 separate cats visited my set on consecutive nights. Thats enough to make me lose sleep! Lol

We kept in touch with my farmer/landowner buddy and delayed our trip a week due to the snow and two days' worth of rain they were expecting on our first scheduled trip... we'll be heading out this weekend now. Busy making more waxed sand for the trip...

With the frozen mornings we are running earlier to beat the thaw each day. We picked up a couple of new properties so we are still trying ta add new sets on good sign. Still picking up a tot of skunks, possums and coons but the target critters are moving as well. I finally connected on a cat at the location with all if the trail cam pics. Its a nice tom. He doesn't have a ton of spots but i am extremely happy with him. While I was skinning I cut the backstraps out. Joe cocked them while i was skinning out the front feet. It was amazing.
