Kansas just made it legal to use a light to predator hunt at night. Does anyone have a recommendation for a light I can mount to my gun,or is there a better way. I have never hunted at night so this is all new to me.

Coon hunting with hounds I preferred to have someone go along. One guy shine the coon and the other one shoot. Deer will walk right up to you in the dark, coyotes will lay their ears back and run. Never had them walk up close at night like deer will when your standing there with lights off listening to hounds. I'm thinking you will still need to be real stealthy getting to your calling spot.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Wicked Light. Extremely bright and great battery life. Have access to all three colors...white, red, and green.
But...I haven’t used it for anything but hogs. I use red, but I’m told green won’t spook them. White seems to spook everything. It comes with a scope mount or mounting for a picatinny rail. Two different end caps, one as a normal handheld with the rheostat switch on the end, the other is corded with the rheostat switch on a band that I generally put around the magazine of the AR. I use the light with the switch turned down on my walk in and then just bright enough to get a good shot and see all around incase of other pigs I don’t see.
