Whether the local Walmart carries something doesn’t really mean anything. Something they carry for years can disappear for a month or two, then just show back up. They’re constantly flexing their muscles to suppliers trying to force lower prices.

Thats not how it works...I was a Sporting Goods manager at 5 Walmart 19.4 yrs... left in 2010
But they do push on suppliers in a hard way. Modular are changed yearly. Single Items can run out for a time.

The Walmart’s in North Central WV still have them. I bought one last year and another this year. Physically they looked the same but the one I bought this year must have had updated software and definitely wasn’t as good. The time/date stamp was very small and almost unreadable without zooming in. It worked good for about a month an then started flaking out and is now dead. I started the warranty claim process. The two year old Tasco I have has performed flawless. It has been in the woods nonstop for the last 18+ months.

Both had the same identical packaging and model number I would love to get my hands on a couple of the older models. For $28 and some change they are hard to beat although I don’t like the fact that they don’t have a battery level indicator or a picture count indicator.

I may be confused, not how what works? Local Walmart here is always out of certain items from time to time. Sometimes for several months, then they’re back. But that doesn’t mean those items are no longer made or not in other Walmarts.
