When the tide comes in well after dark do you think they wait and travel in shallow runs that start to fill or will they come out and walk around the high ground as soon as it gets dark?

Not sure I understand what your asking. Muskrats Dont like to expost them selfs ,Day or night. Muskrats stay in the bottom of the leeds.Water or not. To catch'n up top. You nead extream high water. When I here of a Nor-Easter comming. I set All leeds that go to the wood line.

let me ask you a question
When you have a blow out tide, sometime for days on end. Do you think a muskrat is just gona sit in its house ? When you say “blow out tide” are you meaning no water or extremely high water?

But with extremely low tides I am able to walk the main channels and trap some deep water entrances that I would never be able to find with normal tides. [/quote]
