Made 2 sets on the river yesterday after it came down to a more normal level. Used Backbreaker on a fake castor mound and caught a 57 and a 58.5 pounder. This old man was a whipped pup by the time I wrestled them out of the river and up the bank and carried them to the truck.

The coon was in a trail set for otter on the bank. Fun day!

The river is still moving fast enough to stay open, our ponds and lakes are frozen.

Ya gotta love those points for castor mounds. They're natural spots to build a castor mound. Good job!!!! (Does your back hurt yet?)

Yes Sir Boss Man, my wife was taking a video as I was carrying the second one up the hill to the road and she was laughing because she said it was obvious the struggle was real, but the video was tainted with colorful language so it didn't get to her Facebook page. But it was funny.

Good job Jeff. Like Nessy, I used to come in the end of the day with a canoe full, and pack everything to the truck, go home and skin after supper till you couldn't go anymore, and do it again the next day! It's crazy how hard we worked when we had a little return on them, and now you just gotta do it for exercise! I'm planning on catching some for dog food and I want to try canning some beav for us. Never have before, but as good as canned deer and beef is, I'm betting it will be a hit!
