I have one hanging on the wall that is 60 inches from nose to tip of tail.

I caught and Sold (Never should have) a 5' 1"otter. Caught in a 29" 660+ Belisle. Downside of a small beaver dam. 61"

Measuring from nose to tip of tail tells me very little. Some otters have shorter fatter tails but are hogs. Either weight or nose to skirt is meaningful.
The biggest river otters generally come from coastal Alaska where they commonly go 48" and over at the skirt. Certainly diet has a lot to do with it. Otters that are eating crabs and salmon tend to get huge.
The biggest otter I ever caught went 31 lbs. Anything over 25 lb is a dandy.

330 Trapper, this one goes about 5'06 but does not have near the girth that yours does. Mine Was Nose to tail tip. Taxidermist didn't want him, said too hard ,he'd have to make a form. I sold him at the Mn. Winter meeting 6-7 years back off year for otter that year too.

My 46 1/2 was right out of the trap on the tailgate of the truck, they are a whole lot longer on the board.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

Just skinned the 46 1/2 on the carcass and skinned on the table laid out not stretched was 60 inches.
