Thanks guys, it’s always fun to see where I’m at when I call it quits. Had to help a kid release a cat yesterday. Made a few cubbies while I was out. See what the weather does I might go for one more spin.

Nonpcfed, it hasn’t been to bad to be honest with you. I’m just a sucker for overtime. Been nice to pay off some bills. I finished the year about 40k ahead of the last few. The hardest part is leaving the kids at home at the ages of 5 and 9. The rest is just showing up.

Coyotes sold for $32 average. Last year they sold for $36. I was happy with that as all I have read was 20% off this year. High of four that went for $50. Not bad for green Nebraska coyotes.

Cats sold for $30 green average for six of the smaller cats all females. I didn't take any adult or males.

Raccoons were rough at $4 average green with $6 green last year. Everyone saw that coming. I only took in 20.

How old are you?
When I was younger and before kids I was the first there and last to leave. I would be in double time by Thursday every week and then work Fri and Sat at double time. Once my kids came along and got yours age I realized I didn’t want to miss anything, so I cut back. Best decision ever. Never missed a school function or game their entire lives. Doing the same with CJ now. Of course they all think I’m his Grandfather but it’s ok, lol.

That's a nice looking pile of fur Wade. Bet it was a lot of work but a lot of fun too. Seems to be more cats E & SE of Beatrice. I went calling with a buddy over by Virginia. Called in a cat on the 2nd stand. Congrats on the season !

It was work but the kind of work you enjoy as well. My wife brought home covid the night my vacation started she tested positive about three days into my vacation. I started to have symptoms about that time. Still ran 150 miles a day although it was a bit rougher than usual it was still doable. I can say when we got home at night I was pretty well worn out.

I gave her a hard time as I’d stayed Covid free working directly with it for 8 months. Stay home for once and I catch it. Never a dull moment. I probably got it from the kids they were glad I was home and ran around like nothing happened.

The cat population is surely up. There’s six locations I catch cats on most years I haven’t even trapped yet. Those would be the ones I’ll give a go if the weather allows it. Traps are ready, lure is ready, and it’s nothing but time. Guess we will see how the next couple weeks play out. The full moon is coming again and if I set they’ll be going then.

I’ve ordered a thermal. The .223 is waiting to go bark so we will see how soon it comes in. If nothing else I’ll be trying to call a few in myself. So many places I know have more cats then I got ahold of in 12 days it could be interesting.
