The Wilderness of Denali, by Sheldon. Excellent read !! Out of print but you can still download an electronic copy Another lighter read, and more contemporary is: Pappa Was a Bush Pilot...by Sally McMahan Pollen Also several books by Connie Helmricks. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=connie++helmricks%2C+books

Wager With The Wind...Don Sheldon Story. James M Greiner previous Alaska Trappers Association magazine editor until his death. Great read.
The best part of the book is the account of rescuing members of a military exploratory team in a river boat that had capsized in the canyon of the Susitna River with his skills in a float plane!

If you're into an Alaskan hunting novel, check out "The Last Hunt".
Both "Alaska Wolf Man" and "Bush Rat Governor" were fantastic.

Northwest of the World, by Olaf Swenson. You can find it used on Abe books. Was printed in the '40s, it should be in everyone's collection. About a Fur buyer from Seattle in northeast coastal Siberia and Alaska. He and Irwin Goldberg's dad were friends. Any trappers who have been around for a while in the NW and Alaska know Goldberg. I know the epilogue to the book, Irwin told me about it. I'll only tell you after you read the book though.
