https://canninglids.com/Anybody use these. Little expensive I think, but when you can't find lids. Remembering people having a hard time finding lids last couple of years. Might be worth having a few around. Russ

Haven't heard of that brand before. I use these Tattler lids. Need to get more, though. Still have to use regular ones for some things. Applesauce can be a real bugger. It leaks through the gasket and than won't seal. Other things have been fine. I do have a few more that don't seal than with the metal flats, but in the long run I come out ahead.

My wife said she is not going to risk not having them seal after all the work of the canning.

I bought 12 packs of 12 wide mouth lids, 144 total back on 11/21/20. They had more in stock. I should have bought more. When I got home and counted we had 182 jars in use then and had probably emptied 30 some more. Since then, we have canned a bunch of frozen fruit, including grapes, elderberries and raspberries too. Diane and I have checked 4 more times since then and they have not had any lids, except the reusable lids, in stock.
I fear the new normal in the United States is going to be increasing shortages of the items we want to purchase. I think that we probably need to stock up on storable goods, that we may need in the next few years, when they're available.

Local hardware store owner told me a few days ago to start buying canning supplies now. Also to get garden seeds as soon as they are in the store. Think I'll order some of mine this year. Time to seriously start seed saving, not just dabbling with it. It's looking like it could be a bumpy ride.
