Got first dose of Pfizer last Friday. Much ado about nothing.

My wife and I are still in the "no go zone" because of having it less than 90 days ago.

I don't get vaccines associated with Bill Gates.

And I don't get them made from aborted human people.

I have an aunt who has had both doses now. she is a nurse at the hospital

My Dad is getting his next week. I asked if he was worried about any long term effects. His reply...I’m 84, how long term you think I got, lol?

Nope, I got the real deal instead. My immunity should be good to go.

They don't know for sure. Antibodies have show to be around for up to 8 months, but they say 90 days to be the safest assumption......... I'm not getting it. I'm young enough to not worry about it. Over 99 percent recover rate says I don't need it. I'm not afraid of death either. Eventually we all die, and when we do, we won't even know it.

You do know who is responsible for pushing and shoving the scientists, drug companies and FDA to get this vaccine to the masses in warp speed don't you? Based on that alone, and your feelings toward that person, don't you think a pass is in order? Or perhaps a public "thank you" to that person?

Got my round one shot today. Will go for shot two in 21 days.

I will definitely get the vaccine,not for myself,but I would not want to be responsible for causing some elderly /compromised persons death by spreading the virus.

Gen pop starts getting vaccines in Ohio Monday. 80 and older I believe. Health care workers have got theirs, of they decided to take it.

Mother-in-Law is in an elder care facility. She received her first shot last Thursday.

I might already be immune. Had something with all the symptoms last winter. Been around several people who tested positive. Been almost a year since I was sick.

My 87 year old mother who is in a nursing home, received the first shot a couple of weeks ago. She said her arm was just a little sore. She is supposed to get the second shot this week. But overall NY is having a problem getting the vaccine distributed.

I always have a bad reaction to the flu shot, so I haven’t decide if I will get the vaccine ? Plus I have a severe shellfish allergy.

My job ask us how many would take the vaccine. They ask because so many hospital staff here refused to take it and they thought there would be some available for us. That speaks volumes.

My mom got the first round last week. Me, dad, brothers, wife and kids refuse to get it. We are all young and in good health, except dad, he’s just stubborn lol. I see no reason to subject ourselves to it, especially since our lifestyle really precludes us from spreading it anyways.

Locally you can get an antibody test to see if you've already had.


I think it would be smart that before the vaccine is given, this antibody test should be administered so we're not vaxxing folks that already of the antibodies.

Our DIL, a grad level profession, wants to get the vaccine so she can visit her grandmother safely.
I tried to explain to her, that when she gets a vaccine, it's all about her antibodies. Not GM's.
But CNN (she watches) must have said something to the effect that vaccinated people are now free of the pandemic and normal life resumes or some such?

My Doctor said not to expect getting the vaccine until this Summer.

A paramedic friend got her first dose of that one about 6 days ago. She isnt real excited for the second round. She got very very sick. Said her arm hurt worse after that shot than she would have believed. Others seem to have no problem. Hope it works out that way for you.

Both the wife and daughters have got it as they work in the hospital, had to friends die one in their 30s going to get mine asap. If you got bit by a rabid coyote would you take a vaccine?? Had shingles once missed 6 weeks of work and the only time I thought about sucking a gun never felt that kind of pain. Even Morphine could not keep me from pain, as soon as the shingles vaccine came out I got it. Vaccines may not be perfect, what is but feel very fortunate medical science can help us out be it a C section mom or a hip replacement.

First Moderna shot here two weeks ago. Couldnt even feel the shot. Next day my arm was fairly sore and that persisted for 2 days. We'll see how round 2 goes.

I recently received my 1st shot, Pfizer. No side effects so far. Not too worried about them. Laid off in March. I hope to return to work soon, which in the past has involved flying lots of people to and from medical appointments in town. Especially elders.

I don't know, but he did dump all his Pfizer stock before the release... That's a confidence booster there.

If only 50% of the U.S. population decide to receive the vaccine, what then? what percent of the population needs to take it to stop the spread of the virus.

It's conceivable that airlines will require proof of vaccination in order to fly. I have no doubt that most hospitals and nursing homes will require their employees to be vaccinated. Our local hospital already requires many common vaccinations in order to be employed there.

My daughter got her first dose of the Moderna vaccine a couple days ago. My mother in law, sister in law and niece got theirs 2 weeks ago. No ill effects to this point. I have never been an anti vaccine guy so when available I will get mine as well. I will wait until for a bit as I finished up a bout with covid just before Christmas. I am confident it is safe and have done a little research and realize this vaccine was first developed in 2004 to combat SARS but funding dried up prior to clinicals. I am just thankful the generations before us trusted vaccines. Be a lot of folks with braces fighting Polio if everyone back then subscribed to massive conspiracy theories like today.

I own stock in occugen, which partnered to help market covaxin. Its a vaccine only available in india, so guess ill have to wait a while to support it. My very pregnant wife was being hassled by some of the lib sheep she works with at the hospital abut getting vaccinated. If it was just her she couldve done whatever she wanted but no way in i was letting her do it with a baby on board. Luckily she felt the same

Well it was only 7 hours between the time he posted and the time you posted. He asked a very general question. Who's getting the vaccine? And if you've been here long enough you know that James sometimes doesn't come back for a day or 2 after posting.

Wife and I both "on the frontline" got our first weeks ago. No issues at all with the first. She got the 2nd last week along with multiple co workers. It literally wiped out the entire squad! Everyone that took it was basically down and out for 2 days. Severe headache, body ache and a high fever. She said she absolutely would not take the 2nd if given the chance over. This was the Pfizer brand. I am scheduled for #2 in less than 2 weeks.

That is not true Bruce. There are only two vaccines that have been given EUA in the US. Neither is produced with fetal tissue.

The Astrazenaca drug, being developed in Britain does use fetal cell lines in production but it is not being distributed here
