Good job Mike. Looks like a lot of castor there. Hope you do good on the pelts too.
I plan to get out once our rivers start to come down. Flooding right now. Lol. Want to buy any beaver pelts????

Not that check! We’re only allowed 4 and I filled those tags long ago! Setting that many houses here would pick up one or two. Just wondered.Usually about 1 otter for every 15 beaver or so when setting entrances.

I started at about lunch! I got the kids ready for daycare and cleaned up around the house (dishes, laundry...) and all the other little things before leaving. Checked my first trap around 11 am.

That about right, probably on the low end. Depending on the year you can do 1:15 - 1:30 here. Keeping traps moving in front of new beaver is about the best realistic thing you can do to keep the numbers low.

Nice haul! Wish I was aloud to catch that amount here in PA. Very low limits aloud. Awesome job! Lots of good states just a short drive from PA where you dreams can come true! Very true! Someday when works not so busy.

My hands hurt thinking about that skinning.
We're a bunch of miles south of you Mike running predator sets. Me and the Mrs.
Keep after them!

Nice catch Mike! Good to see you back after it! Thanks! I don’t know if I ever quit being after it. Just not much time after works, kids, and the fur shed to share it all!
