First time on the site, back to running a small canine, cat, and beaver line. More flexible work, a kid that want’s to trap, and plentiful access to land to trap has me very excited! Some of my fondest memories were helping my dad run his line when I was a kid. One thing I’m struggling with is how to attached my MB 750’s to the drowner slide. Would simply using a S hook suffice?

Welcome aboard.Good luck trapping. The s hook will not work as the beaver can slide the trap back up.You want something L shaped for a drowner so it only slides one way down and not back up the cable.

Welcome to Tman!

A S hook from trap chain to drowner slide will work fine

Welcome, with the 750 I think I would j hook to the L bracket or use a swivel and run the cable through the hole at the end of the swivel . Good luck and enjoy trapping with your son. I

Excellent Ness

The chain set up is the best...exact same I use.

No more cable.

Yeah and don't turn the swivel around backwards b/c if you do get a fighter he can distort that thing so bad it will never run back up a cable.

Don't ask me how I know
