The Idaho Trapper magazine is the official publication of the Idaho Trappers Association. I must say their magazine is by far the best state or national association magazine I get and I get a bunch of them, at least 7 or 8. Rusty Kramer is the president and John Consolini is the editor/publisher. Most association magazines have a couple articles. The Idaho Trapper magazine has a lot of articles, it is published quarterly and I received the Winter issue recently. It has 15 trapping articles and a handful of regular department articles such as Fur Buyers Perspective, Cooking, Trap Collecting, Book Review and The Furrier's Corner. Other associations would be wise to get some advice from Rusty on how to increase their membership, since Rusty became president of the Idaho State Trappers Association he has more than double their membership.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I am a member of the Montana Trappers Association, they have a mighty fine publication as well.

Several of the writers for the ITA magazine are members here on Trapperman. Yes, John Consolini, as owner/editor, does a great job. Too, I certainly agree with Allan, that the Montana magazine is always really well done.

I joined ITA just over a month ago but haven't heard or received anything form them yet. Might have to shoot Rusty a message.
If traps work like the Antis say......I would have no fingers.

Idaho Trappers Association also has 700 members of the 1,800 or so trappers in the state. How many states can boast that over 1/3 of the trappers belong to their Association. I believe the average is 10%. Rusty Kramer and crew have done an excellent job in recruiting trappers among other things Rusty has done a good job, that is for sure. Some of those 700 members might be like me and live in another state. As I said before, other state associations and the national associations would be wise to use some of his ideas to increase their membership.
