Don’t forget that fool from NC, useless, I mean Eustace. He can’t understand why if he doesn’t pay his taxes , the government will take his farm ? He’s probably a millionaire in real life ? Like the Kilchers on Alaska the last frontier. If they don’t shoot a bear they will not have enough meat to hold them over the winter. But they have a herd of beef cattle, what a joke. Not only that but they are a 90 minute walk from downtown Homer and a grocery store............on a paved road. Still a group of hard working people though. The old days weren't as easy as now

Putting a side the those shows are made for entertainment and not always factual. My hat goes off to the rural living people in Alaska, as it is not always that easy of life. We think in northern US it is tough living, in rural Alaska most wouldn't make it.

Tom's not the one with the dogs. That is Rich. I'll never forget I was watching an episode where he yelled at a pack to "get outta here". Hilarious stuff there, I'm sure they listened and never came back. What a putz. From what's been posted on here and evidently some know Tom he actually is a member of trapping organizations and has fought for trapping rights. I think him and Marty are revered as the 2 best on that show, It's a race to the bottom as far as the others go to who's the bigger nitwit. I haven't watched it for a few years now, I figured out after awhile about anything else on TV was better than that. The scenery is good though. It's for entertainment. If you tried some of that stuff you'd be laughed out of the area (probably by the wildlife). I'm not nearly as well schooled in the outdoors as most on here but at least I'm not that big of an idiot (that I know of) and I wouldn't want to broadcast it for everyone to see. Nailed it.

Get a kick out of people bashing mountain men, but know all about it you must still be watching it. Gotta keep things interesting right, I watch it and know about half of it is fake and over dramatic But it give town folk some feelings of what goes on in the sticks.
Let me sugar coat this
