This year I think I have been caught in every trap type I set except a 330 and mb 750 and 550 and dog proofs of course.

This morning I got my thumb in a 220 and a little later my index finger in a duke 1.5.
A few weeks ago I got myself in a bridger 5 and 2 singles on the same day.

I guess maybe tomorrow I can work on completing the catch with the rest. Well not the 330 wont be setting those tell next week.

Trapping with young kids will keep you distracted so try to pay attention to what your doing and where your fingers are at. If you don't you will be reminded of where they are at and all distractions will disappear rather quickly.

Got my bare hand in a MB 750 last year, I think the offset helped . I am way more careful this year!

I got three fingers in a fully modified Bridger #3 this year. I think that was the only one that got me this season. Not too bad

I got my index finger all the way up to the base of the finger where it joins the hand in a K-9 extreme this year.

On the bright side, I'll be the kids are learning some colorful new words! grin

Middle finger in a Bridger 1.75 OS. Of course it was staked and my finger was off to the side, so no offset. Pretty sure that it'll hold a coyote.

Just remember, with kids around you need to clench your teeth when you catch yourself, then the younger generation has a hard time understanding the words coming out and do not repeat them to there mother at the most inappropriate times, Like when her mother is visiting.
Don't ask. whistle

Lol my kids know enough French to make a sailor blush. Let’s just say I’ve smashed a finger or two with them nearby. But they also know that if they repeat them in front of momma or grandma they’re gonna get their rear end adjusted lol.

I worked construction as a union Ironworker for 7 years. Let's just say unfortunately the language rubbed off to the point sometime I no longer realize when I curse. I need a shock collar put on me.

Besides the kids "help" when I work on the car. They can honestly say they learned new words After that

We are impatiently waiting for the sun to come up to go check traps. Part of me thinks we should wait a few hrs after sun rise so we dont run any off that may be on the way to work out sets.

Well the rabbits are feed, off to feed the goats, sheep, and let the chickens out a little earlier than normal. That will kill some time. Guess I can help my 10 year old sight in his pellet gun I mounted a scope on lastnight with headlights while we wait.

We got skunked this morning had not a single catch. We put out a dp and snare on a trail with fresh coon tracks and 2 more mb 505s on fresh k9 tracks in the snow. The boys shot a few pest birds with their pellet guns so I took those and shoved them in a few holes.

Maybe tomorrow?

Yep, I worked in the oilfield for ten years lol a lot of the conversations we had I won’t even repeat in the company of most respectable adults. But when the f bomb is every other word you hear for a decade it just becomes part of conversation almost.
