I grew up with a meth head step father. Do not offer this guy any help whatsoever. Keeping him comfortable will not make him want to change. Shivering under a bridge in a cardboard box with a empty stomach while crashing from a binge might, but even then, sometimes they never change. It's a powerful drug. My stepfather never changed. He ended up going to prison for manufacturing meth, where he then got killed in a fist fight that he started over someone refusing to turn down the radio. Too many people made him comfortable for too many years . Maybe if someone had let him rot early on, he would have seen that he needed help, but by the time he was living under a bridge, he had been an addict for years and years, and there was no changing him.

And they won't change unless they really want to.Even then the drugs have changed their brain so much they might even not be able to.

Meth heads have no family , period !!

Trying not to be an enabler is a heavy challenge.

You will search your soul many times.

I speak with a heart full of experience. and failure.

Addiction is addiction I once thought it was just a lack of will power and self control No matter what the substance is it controls you And getting back that control means making no mistakes ever again An for those that have family or loved ones that are a part of that IT puts you in the center of the very same addiction
