These about sty stocked up at my Walmart their pretty cheap and since I'm planning on getting a 12ga soon was wondering if it would be worth buying a box or two ?
[Linked Image]
So these good for anything other than skeet ? I really don't wingshoot or shotgun much at all usually reserve that for my PCP . I mean at most I might decide to try and know out some darn pigeons or a squirrel or two but that's about it. So with that being said y'all think it would be a good idea to buy a box or two ?

Careful buying shells for a gun you don't have yet. Some on here will label you a hoarder!

i bought that box today was also the only 12ga that wasn't steel at Walmart. I left the other 2 boxes on the shelf which makes me not a hoarder.

they are fine for clay targets , pigeons , rats , pests ,squirrel if not too far away. they would be ok for dove but since they are migratory birds I think that you have to use steel.

I will use them for trap , I normally prefer 7 1/2 but trap season will be here before you know it and got to have some shells.

I'm gonna start buying guns for the shells I can find. How's that for convoluted logic.

I bet they would make good snake rounds and less than quarter each.

hey if any one is looking for 16ga seen more of that on the shelf lately than everything else combined.

slugs , shot .buckshot almost makes me sad I put down that nice little Ithaca almost , nice gun , great price a few years ago , but at the time ammo was basically obscure. I was surprised they were even still making 16ga ammo. had it been a 20ga I would have owned it for sure. it was just like my uncles but his was a 20 and this was a 16.

doves are considered a migratory bird, but steel shot is only required for migratory waterfowl and some lands as described by law.

At the hall length of a typical home they will make a huge hole in any 2 legged vermin that show up uninvited wink

And limited penetration through walls

8 shot is too light for most hunting.

NE brought up a good point. I killed a lot of grouse and woodcock years ago with 8's. Yes, they would also work fine on doves. Maybe a little light for pigeons.
