Missouri fur prices. Held a few back to get tanned but sold the rest. Fur buyer came to my house along with about a dozen more trappers selling their fur. Will the pay off this year cover gas and expenses? No but it gets me off the couch and away from the ball and chain. Gave the check to my son in law who I'm getting started in the trapping game. He was running traps before he went to work and I don't have to do that anymore. He loves it and can run me in the ground. Anybody trapping to make a profit this year has got a rough row to hoe. But if you didn't realize that after the fur prices the last couple years you ain't right. Did not finish any of the fur this year. Now it's on to trapping bounty beaver which will produce a profit and maybe catch some mink and rats along the way.

Thanks for the update it looks like you need to catch more coyote and beaver in your otter, coon, and cat sets

Thanks for the update it looks like you need to catch more coyote and beaver in your otter, coon, and cat sets Trouble is, l never made a coon, cat, or otter set. They kept clogging up my coyote and beaver sets. These kind of prices weed out the trapping for profit guys and trapping for fun guys. The bad thing is it probably ain't gonna get any better for awhile if ever.

WT glad you got your fur sold. I agree it ain’t about the money, it’s about the time trapping and spending it outdoors with my dad, my wife and my kids. I have to agree!

Yall think 35 a cat isn't equally bad?
I used to get 70 for a Kansas cat with a rabbit back and a bridge from basically its chest plate to its testicles before Christmas not that long ago. The vast majority were sold in the round b/c taxis got to liking big frames better than the fur as they could airbrush the spots in

Peterman is paying as good as anyone else far as I can tell, better than some. You can’t give a coon to some of our local buyers. I sold finished coyotes to Miller. His top on put-up coyotes was $40. Half of what I took went in the $30 pile. Smallest pile (3 I think) went for $20. Averaged in the $30 range.

I mentioned otter because I remember averaging over $100 for 4 otter.
