I have been offered a deal on one and ironically it can be carried inside the waistband much better (IMO) than my little Sig P938 Nightmare.
Has anyone put a lot of rounds thru one of these and if so how would you rate it's durability? How many times did it jam per 1000 rounds? I'd like to say I will keep it spotless clean but the sand does blow in the streets of Laredo and about twice as bad out in Eagle Pass and Dell Rio. If I ever have to work in El Paso I will just open carry something huge- maybe even 2 of them LOL
I know there are a lot of options out there but if you are going to tell me what you like better and why be a good neighbor and PM where they are in stock please.
Thank you in advance

I have had one for several years, mine is a 740. Which is the same gun, but in a 40 s&w. I have put a ton of rounds through mine, the good stuff and cheap as I could find. Has always cycled everything I put through it. Surprising accurate for what it is. Have killed a couple coyotes with it that crossed the road at the wrong time. Get some shot shells for it and you have all you need for a snake gun. I have a crossbreed holster for mine. I would say get it, try it. If you don't like it, move it down the road.

Thanks Matt- I shot it and i was surprised how well it pointed for a little gun. The trigger was heavier than I like on my revolvers but of course I would not be using this thing to show off target shooting.
I have bought 2 Taurus guns in the past 3 years and I value the first 2 as much as any of my expensive hand guns. They both gave me a lot of gun for less money I guess you could say.
I'd have no problem getting the 40 like yours but I'd have no idea where to get ammo right now

The trigger does take a little getting used too. But after the first shot, it resets ok for the rest. I have a couple others and have had nothing but good things to say about them. I carry my Glocks a little more than I do it now, but when the weather is warm I like it.

It must have one of what H&K called the 'LEO trigger mods' that makes the first round suck and then the rest the trigger pulls start actin' right. Thanks for the heads up.
Also appreciate your reply Twolines- IDK if my first 2 Taurus' will depreciate or not because they would be two of the last guns I sell. I got the 7 shot .357 with the 6 inch barrel (model 627) and the other is the Rossi / Taurus collaboration which is 5 shot revolver long gun that shoots 410 bore or 45 Colt. The first is a coyote and hog dropper and the 2nd is good for anything with wings, scales, or that out weighs me and lived thru the snare (big bad hogs that may or may not stay tied up when they see me).
Who knows, I may become a Taurus fan one of these days.

Thank you in advance Just curious why that sig sucks to carry iwb? Too thick or not enough to grab when you draw it? Wondering what your holster is?

I have a 709 slim taurus. Shoots decent. Trigger does take a little getting used to, so does the slide. Price was very reasonable but you get what you pay for, its no Glock or Springfield. I believe they discontinued the 709 slim too. Ive put several boxes of 9mm through mine and have had zero issues. Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
