Thank you for the help explaining that the cable wasn't legal I took down the snare along with some trees.

Wire that carcass to a tree and raise your snare higher.
That whole setup doesn’t look very good for coyotes though. Maybe a fox will go for it.
I don’t like where the snare is, but it might just be the angle.
Looks like a lot of work for 0 reward.

IF you got a 24 hour check'.Dont set your snares till the bait is hit. This will save you lots of time. The animals might not work the bait for 2 weeks. After the bait is hit. Then refresh, set the trails that the animals have made. Set a min. of 12 snares.

Personally I think I'd pull that picture looks like a hand full of broken laws.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Thank you where would you put it to avoid that?

I think you got some good advice above... go pull that set down and remove the pic. I am not sure on WI's regs, but you would be in trouble here in Ontario because (as noted) you are set too close to entanglement which would change your CR to a killing snare if the animal got wrapped on the trees. Guessing exposed bait may be an issue for you as well and you are asking for a non target capture
Just happy to be here.

Thank you where would you put it to avoid that? You need to find trails that coyotes are using out of the thick brush and hang your CR's there. Its basically a numbers game. You can't use snares like footholds and think one near bait is going to make a catch. Set 4 dozen on tracks then you'll make some catches. If you get lucky they may not even chew out before you get there. You don't need any bait.
