I always get nervous when people start talking about doing factory resets, reformatting hard drives or new computers. There's almost always a fix. It's just a matter of doing some really technical stuff or having someone that knows how to do it, do so. Easy peasy for any halfway decent tech. Trouble is nobody wants to pay halfway decent tech.

This scam is usually a website scam. Problem is most people don't know how to get out of a program, in this case your browser, without hitting the X .

A good friend of mine was taken on a cell phone scam this past week. Caller started by saying his phone had been compromised over three months ago. To make a long story short within the next two days his checking account was short $3,000. Thankfully they did not wipe him out. He filed paper work with the bank and police. Both said they would do all they could but don't hold his breath. Wish the scammer would walk down a known dark alley. Roy

I have Norton never had a problem with it yet but I get notices that it expired but it’s auto renew so I know it’s a scam but it looks real as all get out. I just look on my computer and it reads that it’s still active. Trust nothing on the web better to delete the wrong message the open or fall for the wrong one.
