Some of you guys know we just pulled our camper to Kansas to go trapping for a week... here's the video from the trip. We did our best to show a real-life week of trapping: the good, the bad, and the ugly. We cap off the video by sitting down for a few moments and discussing some of the "lessons learned" in planning and executing a week-long trip like this in case you've ever thought about doing something like this yourself.

Interesting video. That farm land trapping is considerably different than trapping in sage brush covered desert. Sets about the same but macro set locating different. Whereas you show timber line edges we have to look for beatdown grass game trails and in a few cases barbwire fence rows. Once the ground is snow covered most grass trails become invisible and coyote track patterns become basically random except for direction. Then tracks in snow is the main guide. That duck wing would violate multiple game law provisions in Idaho.

Thanks, guys... appreciate the kind words.

Furvor, that's one of the reasons I guess we all love at least watching videos from different parts of the country, if not going there ourselves. One day I'd love to go out truly west... like WAY west into places that I've watched videos of for so long. And, yes -- you make a good point, even if only incidentally... everyone should check the state laws of where they're planning on trapping. smile
