We order them for a couple of trap teams I coach and have for years, no problems. I also notice quite a few of the sporting clays competitors here shoot that brand as well. I would think their heavier rounds would be fine tho I haven’t used them.

My freind used their steel shot for duck hunting and was not impressed. Never used their lead shells though.

I have shot cases of them. Lead and steel and never had a problem of any sort. I always liked them.

Thanks for the input! I'm in no panic situation but joined a sportsman club for pheasants... I figure get shells now or start practicing with my Wrist Rocket

I have shot many cases of steel shot, never had any issues. As poor as I shoot, it doesn't make much difference anyway haha. They all went bang.

3 or 4 years ago when my son qualified for the high school national finals 3/4 of the shooters at the trap shoot were using Rio shells including the entire Texas Team (who incidentally won the national title that year- and most years)

I've shot thousands of Rio trap shells, never had a problem, never tried the pheasant loads. If you reload you will need to use a Rio primer as they oversized.

Rio #6 are a great load for all sorts of fowl.
I use their #9’s for early and mid season dove and switch to 7.5’s for late season.

If you plan to reload those hulls be aware that the Rio primer is a couple thousandths larger than the WIN or REM so you might have loose primers if you do not use Rio primers in the reload......................pretending for a moment that you can even buy primers anywhere

Yes , they are good shells ,a duck hunting friend brings me bags of them to reload , i use the fed gold metal recipe after i trim them back for 2 3/4 , i use the rio high brass hull ,32 gr longshot, fed 12s3 wad 11/8 #4 shot, and fed 209a primers , they are not as snug but work ,seems i see variations in primer pockets , if i see one to loose a dab of super glue dos the trick.

How much did they cost ya? CTD is known for price gouging pretty hard on ammo.
