Parents have the right unless state law forbids it.

Might be akin to the folks turning up at doc offices after the obamacare was passed thinking health-care was free. This stuff don't travel at the speed of light or does what you/we think it does

I am with you. I went through 30 executive orders and never saw anything that had to do with minors and Doctor visits. If it were true just give us a link.

Been going to the same Dr. for years never had to do it before. When asked why that was the answer they gave.

I guess my answer would be then he/she will be reasonable for paying any treatment or services and walk out. I would not sign any paperwork. JMO

Wife works for hospital only time she said there are issues is with suspect sexual or child abuse.

Did they have the child sign for financial responsibility also?

State may pass laws and rules to help it however most hospitals here already have medical charts guarded, so as to not be read by the patients or the parents or the Ad litem, with out the states help. Hippa only made it more difficult !

You would have to go to court to get the judge to sign off your permission, been there done that when my boy's were still in the hospital before they passed away.

In fact it's quite a surprise what you won't be able to access until you really want to know what's happening !

Looked it up again and it says any parent has the right to their childs medical records unless the child is in the military, been emancipated or special circumstance such as abuse etc. Utah law about minors medical records.
