I respect everyone’s right to it. If you want the vaccine and are at a higher risk, by all means you should be first inline. In Ohio they started at the oldest group of people and front line workers and started to go down by age. For me personally I’m at a young enough age and in fair enough health that I’m not at high risk to it. I however do not think I’m bulletproof.

Neither do I but I don't want to go through life living in fear. I have an older friend who lives in fear of it. We used to meet regularly for coffee and to shoot the breeze, now he keeps himself pretty much isolated in his cottage. I park my wheeler behind his place. He opens up the back window no matter the outside temperature and chats as I come and go. Reminds me of Wilson from the show Home Improvement.

Those 3,000 deaths are false information.Any deaths are being called corvid.This is regardless how I feel about the vaccinations.

People need a basic understanding of statistics. The odds of surviving Covid are 99.5% or higher. Think about that. Few things in life are that certain. The odds of living your whole life and not dying in a car crash is 99%. If you're willing to stop living your life to the fullest because you are afraid of Covid, have you stopped driving? I could go on all night listing things we all take for granted that are statistically more likely to kill you.

survival odds decrease by age.As I osted earlier over 70 group is 94.6%. A lot of it is not fear,but doing what I can to avoid getting it.Chances are good,that right now I probably wouldn't survive it.
What I do fear is bringing it home and passing it on to my wife--she would not be able to survive getting it.

Still time to modify it but I share your feelings on liberalism. Some peoples lives are a warning to others, that's why they exist. Let them be.

Even still, 94.6% are pretty darn good odds in anything. That means that out of 100 people over 70, 94 of them will survive. Granted there are people who are higher risk, and appropriate precautions should be taken to protect them. But forcing everyone to change their way of life instead of letting them make that decision for themselves is nothing short of totalitarianism.

No one says you can't take precautions if you are high risk. But by the same token, no one should say you need to sit life on the sidelines and miss out on your prime years if you are not high risk.

Asking healthy young and middle-aged people to sacrifice their way of life and their livelihood to protect those who have already gotten to live their good years is one-sided logic. Why isn't the sacrifice being asked in the other direction? Not trying to be insensitive, just trying to be logical.

Up until the last century, for thousands of years adults were lucky to make it to their 60s. And the odds of surviving childhood were much less than 94.6%.

I've voted for a Republican President 9 out of 11 elections. I also happen to be educated and unafraid to read more than one source of information. Over 420,000 dead because of covid. Facts. Not my opinion. I choose to reduce my chances of an ugly death. I also wear a seat belt for the same reason.

Before you leave the official death count for Nome, Alaska is zero. Good place to go if you want a shot, they appeared to get allocated plenty.
