NTA, FTA, or Sportsmen Alliance. Who do you feel does the best job or do you feel they are about equal?

Idk which is best, so I send money to all of them when I can.

Who is John Galt?

You don't rise to the occasion, you fall to the level of your training.

Grandpa - In my experience, state orgs do a lot of the heavy lifting and grassroots stuff. "Fighting" often means doing some sensing with membership or consulting/negotiating with State Fish and Game Depts and potentially neighboring state orgs. Some state associations work within other larger advocacy groups to help navigate relationships, especially among affected Sportsman's groups or across state lines. Trying to get everyone to fight the same battle and support each other. The NTA provides muscle and legal help.

There's a lot of stuff going on in this respect - probably more than most folks are aware. Supporting your State or local association is very important and every bit helps.

As much fun as that would be, it's even better to set them back on their heels with good information that's professionally presented by an organized and well supported group. Pen is mightier than the sword kinda deal.

In reality I think being a consumptive user, hunter, fisherman, trapper and living, working and communicating with neighbors and fellow citizens is the best form of fighting antis on a daily basis . When it comes to having to deal with the politicians, courts and referendums that is where expertise and real monies are needed. In most cases the former leads to less of the latter. We are a purple state, but have many outdoor activities and many who live in non-rural areas know those of us that do.
