Scottish highlander, mom had it in woods, I moved it to barn, the mom is not used to going in barn so she wouldn't lick it off,she was cold so we put her in a tub of warm water them dried her then put heating pad under her and wrapped her with a emergency blanket, just bottle fed her some colostrum she's looking good, first one of 2021 six more to go.gotta get her back to barn but I want it to warm up a little bit.

Great save ! When we have that happen with our sheep (due any time now ) ....we put the lamb in a big plastic trash bag, and then into a tub of warm/ hot water...to bring its temp up. But don’t know if the calf could fit in a 55 gal trash bag. Some Kayro syrup under the tongue helps to jump start them...with a blast of sugar too.

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

With seven, why calf in Jan/Feb. April or May would make more sense. Glad you saved it.

They should most definitely fit in a contractor sized bag. I can fit an entire deer in one.

To preserve body heat, put shinny side of foil facing inward. Reflect back to calf. Dull side absorbs heat.
A neat trick I have never seen done.

Thought it looked like a Scotty, cute little rascals! Scotty's are also very tough but still need help, especially this time of year. Glad to see she's doing well!
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
