Going to hoop a few beaver. Plews are tanned but have to be blocked out. My question is how wet do I get the hide before blocking out.

Soak the leather side good,and fold them up leather to leather and roll up for a couple hours.
The leather will soak up a lot of water and it will be warm and damp when you open it up.
The leather heats up quite a bit while soaking up the water.
Make sure you do all your repairs before wetting and blocking.
