The thugs will definitely target those they think are leaders first.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I don't know what percent of common sense gun owners will turn in their firearms. But, I know what percent of criminals will turn theirs in. Zero, None, Nada.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

330 you really think that strategy will be effective? The gun owner registration began almost 30 years ago with Bill Clinton and the NRA.

Before there can be a tax there has to be an inventory. Lots of states have no registration. Without registration there will need to be a door to door search. Registration will have to happen. Without a voluntary registration (few will comply rendering that ineffective) there will have to be a door to door search of known gun owners.

They'll target the Fuds first through firearm hunting license. The Fuds will be peeved off at being singled out and start snitching on those the keep for other reasons.

Most people will turn their guns in without any hesitation.
Keith This unfortunately will probably be what happens. People in general are sheep, do what they are told and believe what they are told. The last election proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.
I BELIEVE IN MY GOD, MY COUNTRY AND IN MYSELF.

I figure that once they make me a felon i don't have much else to lose so might as well be a felon 25 times or so.

for starters about 5%
that is about what cali and NY are getting for compliance on their registry.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
