That is weird... usually you don't get record breaking cold in the South unless I happen to be visiting
Just happy to be here.

Left the dang door open. My traps done froze up, that just ain't right for down here. You ain't seen nothin yet, my friend. Wait till this Sunday and after, we be sending you some real cold! Our highs will be in the negative below zero temps. 25 years ago yesterday, we had the coldest day I ever remember. It was a Sunday. My truck was in the garage. I went out to start it. It barely turned over. I went back in the house, looked at the thermometer. It was -42. I told my wife not to bother even getting dressed. We would be skipping church.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

Wow warrior, only an inch or so? You can borrow my railroad pick axe if you would like...its the only way I can chip out trap beds around here. Two hands and lots of big swings, lots of big swings. After you work up a sweat you might even have a decent trap bed hacked out. THEN...you grab the sledge and try to drive in some rebar stakes too. Waxed dirt goes back in the bed to replace the chips I hacked out. Now thats real dirt trapping!

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I just shoved a pallet full of firewood under the boat so I have it close by. Going back ut to split some more in a minute. But then terms like firewood don't mean nuttin to a Georgia boy I guess.
Let's go Brandon

I hear when it gets cold, the feral introduced iguanas drop to the ground from trees ....keep looking up !
In two days it will snow big time for several days , and temps will drop in this region to around -20.
Of course it won't be near that bad in Georgia.
I remember the days and nights of the firing of the orange groves in FLA in times like this.
So everyone take care of the animals and get supplies before it hits. Keep the block heaters plugged in !
I have a nephew that lives in South Florida. A couple years agi they got a cold snap and those kizards where all over the place in the ground ciciadas
