I have caught a few over the years. The coolest looking one my buddy caught-a sampson cross. They make a nice hat,I made one for my daughter years ago when she was young. Very soft fur exactly like a plucked pelt.

I’d tan it and make something. Not worth anything on the market but it looks soft and beautiful.

I found an old pic of my daughter wearing hers. She loved it-so soft and warm and looked great. You should definitely get it tanned for now. Then decide what you want to do with it. They are quite rare and not enough are produced to match into lots for the industry.

I've caught few. But has anyone caught a samson coyote? I wish I'd taken a picture of this coyote I caught this year. It had no guard hair just a full coat of under fur.

Only ever caught 1 back in PA.
Wish I had tanned it as I got $5 for it, super soft from what I remember

I know this thread is a little old, but thought I'd bring it back up to the top after what my brother-in-law got this morning. He saw it this past weekend but it was too far away. Saw it again this morning and got it with his deer gun, that's why the back half isn't in the picture. I told him it would probably sew up fine and he should still get it tanned. He just texted me and said he sold it to someone for $500! Not sure if this is a Samson or Sampson or not, but cool nonetheless and worth more than all the fur I've put up over the last 3-4 years.
