Ok, to update. No bait has ever been touched. There are glue traps set along g the walls. It's not bats, theres only one vent in the ceiling and it's not over the desk. Peanut butter has been mentioned it a few times, tried that too.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Question?
Do the Glue traps have edges? Like poured into black trays?

Most mice will come up to an edge and go around. Most homeowners and maintenance men will buy these type of glue traps. Bad Deal !

The flat glue pads you can fold . Like glue on tagboard are your friend.

They still sell the tray glue boards? Haven't seen those around here in a while because they're junk.

I use these: Catchmaster 60M Bulk Packed Mouse Insect & Snake Glue Boards 60-Pack and have good results. I put them in the inside corners of the buildings.

LMAO! You need to find a trapper! laugh this is simple. Get a mouse trap. Not the kind with the plastic pan but the old kind with the little metal pan. Take a pair of needle nose and tweak the little notch on the pan to make it a hair trigger. Put peanut butter all around the trigger that you just tweaked and on the pan. That will get any mouse. They will be licking it up right where the dog meets the pan.

Had a glue board that we forgot about for some time I got up one night half asleep and seen a dark object on the floor I went to move it out of the way and was bitten by a mouse held by one foot. Thought it was a dog toy man that little sucker could bite, the rest of the board was useless from sitting but it found a sweet spot to step on. Went for shots just to be sure.

I'm going to stick with prankster or droppings from ceiling. Doesn't have to be a vent, droppings can slip past the tiles with a little vibration. Open the ceiling and look. If no mice there, it's a prankster coworker.

Mix a teaspoon of flour, sugar, and baking soda. Equal amounts, put it in a small tray on the floor. Won't take long.

Never fails. The big yellow cheese looking pans are best IMO. They catch without bait set along an edge. I keep them right inside the garage doors on the shop all the time, mice come in and catch them before they go a foot inside. Sometimes its a month or two between mice but it gets them.

Not sure what kind of glue traps they are. The janitor set then. I have not been in the building. I'm basically instructing my wife on what to do through pics.

Well as P Skinny showed everyone here years ago- he was the mini trap mouse catcher - even using tiny longsprings ! cool

You may well be dealing with a vole. A piece of raw potato instead of peanut butter is better bait.
