Well, who all has started their plants for this years garden? The wife and I started our first round of cole crops, along with some tomatoes and peppers. Looking to get things in the ground the 2nd week of April (if the weather cooperates). The whole family gets involved with the garden. Pumpkins, cucumbers, & zucchini will be in the next round to get planted, along with more peppers & tomatoes. Starting sweet potato slips too.

This seasons work is just beginning, but it's worth it.

I couldn't plant tomatoes yet. The darn things would be ready before March. My hot peppers always took the longest and i might not start them for another couple months yet. Good luck.

bought the fixins just the other day. Plan on getting it all set up and going over the next 7-10 days.

I have never raised from seeds before so this will be a new experience. I just hope it pays off well.

Will start my sweet potatoes this weekend. I have a grow light that I use so I do not have to start other stuff for a bit. We have frost chance until Mother's day so I cannot ever put anything that is not a cold weather plant before that. Great you get everyone involved. I used to but now I and the wife do the garden ourselves because our sons have their own gardens and family to raise. LLL

I’ll be starting tomatoes and peppers and some flowers in about a month. Last frost here usually happens around may 15th-20th, somewhere in there, so that should be about right. I’d really like to get a set up where I could start them earlier but that isn’t in the cards for this year

I'm always growing sunflowers, Pak choi, cabbage, broccoli and peas as micro greens year round. I need to buy a new wire shelf and restart my hydroponic system for strawberries and leafy greens.

Outside I think I'm just doing peppers and tomatoes this year so not yet.

I would probably have started some peppers but I don't have my promix yet. Walmart said they had six in stock and I bought two for store pick up. Was waiting for my email to come get them and they canceled my order.

I got an email from them a couple of days later saying it was back in stock. This time no in store pick up was available. Delivery only. So I paid the shipping and got two ordered. I don't see how they can ship two big bags of mix for only 5.99 but that is what they charged me. Kind of half way expect them to cancel this order as well.

My wife has been going through the boxes and binders of seeds, making notes and plans. She is chomping at the bit but trying to hold off because she normally starts thing to early.

We still have carrots we are harvesting and garlic was planted in that fall.

If I get off my hind end and get the plastic on the 30' x 75' high tunnel I put in last fall it sure will make things nicer. I got water lines ran to it this winter.

I wish we could get into the garden already. We have had so much rain, and are just entering our "mud season" here in So. IL. Things usually dry up a little bit by Easter, that is typically when I plant my garden. In April, there typically isn't much chance of frost, but maybe every few years we get one. I have a clear tarp ready to cover plants if need be. But the plants do so much better in the ground and not in pots in my opinion, its worth the chance to get them in the ground. I was wanting to build a greenhouse close to my garden spot. Maybe, I'll get around to it when the weather gets nicer.
