Thanks guys. I'll be ordering a pair today along with a few other items. Trying to get a jump on everything that needs to be done. I had to leave some anchors in the ground this year due to the poor weather conditions.

All I use is a channel lock 8" side cutter, it also opens my j-rivets

You are really missing out. Side cutter are much harder to use to cut cable and cable cutters actually open J-hooks way better too, like so...

You can do that with a C-7 and I taught that to Bob Custer about 100 yrs. ago................ the mike

The Menards ones are great for cutting #9 support wire and opening j-hooks like I showed above, no good for cutting cable though. I couldn't get a dozen clean cuts out of them, hence the reason they were demoted to cutting #9 and trap chains.

Trust me the $20 pair I put a link to are terrific cutters. That Hilltop Co. bought and is carrying on Funke's these days, same persons and same great service.
