Hello everyone

I'm a 31 year old airplane mechanic from SE Oklahoma currently living in central Oklahoma. I've hunted and fished my whole life and as a kid/young man I helped my uncle run a coon line. After my uncle passed I recieved around a dozen of his old 1 1/2 victor long springs. I thought it would be fun to trap a few coon on my place without realizing it would quickly become a addiction. During my research I quickly came across trapperman and it's wealth of information that was 3 years ago and I've read alot of post since then. I only caught 6 coons in two weeks the first year. The next year I picked up a few DP traps and caught 13 coon and 2 opossum. I also got to try my hand at beaver trapping for the first time to help a neighbor who's pond was being over run and managed to catch 2 beaver after a lot of trial and error. This year I decided to expand my line to include coyote, fox, and bobcat I bought a dozen legholds in various sizes and brands both Coilspring and DLS to see what I like. I trapped for one week in late December and from January 11th-31st and ended up with 25 coon, 13 opossum, 1 skunk, 5 beaver, 3 bobcat, 2 grey fox, 2 coyotes. This hobby is fast becoming a obsession. [Linked Image]

You're right about the addiction part. It's best not to fight it - just let it happen!
