Victor used the term professional kind of like painting something green or black today and calling it tactical today.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Correct. Made in Japan for Cabelas. Made by the same factory that made Model Perfect traps for Herters.

The traps for Cabelas came in 2 sizes. #2 coil and #3 coil. If in perfect or almost perfect condition, they have a slight collector value.

I’m quite sure the professional 1.75 are Victor. Should say Animal Trap Company, Lititz, PA or Oneida Victor of Ohio on the pan.

The Cabelas professional traps predate the Victors by at least 15 or so years.

Nothing to feel dumb about. Lots of times the pan is difficult to read, especially on a trap that has been used for trapping.
