Nice hog! Y'all are different than us. We wouldn't drag that one 5 yards. Too big!

We keep the ones you can carry.

By the way, I was in West Virginia last week. Very beautiful country.

If that is a boar, you couldn't pay me enough to even cook some of it, let alone eat that nasty smelling stuff. And don't tell me all the things you can do to make it better; it still smells like a boar hog!

They are a trophy here. Not many around and hard to find. It’s a sow and my guess is around 200 pounds.

Cut the back straps out, grab a ham, and start walking. I’m with Blaine, if it can’t be carried out, it stays.

And news flash...it’s not a “trophy” and if you have any then you have too many. Be careful what you wish for...there’s folks around here that would give you all they have if they could be guaranteed to never have another.

Now in my mind something has to be pretty bad for a buzzard to not feed on it.

Sit on your horse on top of a ridge, look out across the country and tell me there is no God.

Congrats on the kill

Like others have said they are a nuisance here, killed 41 just off of my place last year and that is just the one that didn't run off and die

Made this old man happy one morning

X2 There is a reason meat hogs are cut !!! Too tough and rant to eat them otherwise. I always think it's funny how pig hunters brag about man that one will eat good! LOL But the guys that raise a hog to slaughter castrate them asap !!!

Good job as stated back strap it and leave it. I shot a buck one time coming up a straight up down bluff wall Don't know how he made it up . I let him get to the top and shot him thru the heart . He whirled took 3 leaps and fell. Didn't stop rolling until he was 3-400 ft down. I telechecked him and butchered him at the bottom. Me and my son carried backstraps rack and hams out. Left was left for buzzards and yotes.
