Don't watch pro football but I thought I would make a dish that is a tradition for Super Bowl supper in many parts of the south. Bon Appetite!

It does not look good, mainly because of the worms or worm like things.

How did you cook it? I always preferred them fried then roasted on a rack so the fat could leave. Had to cut a tree and burned as I cut. Had a good bed of coals so I pit cooked it. Slow cooked under ground and it fell off the bone. Turned out pretty good but I still couldn't eat them as much as my carcass buyers.

That sounds like a good way to do it, I guess though I should ask do you guys have a lot of fat on your coons down there? Up here they are pretty fat with all the corn around here, and some years they don’t have enough fat as it can get to zero in December and stay that way until March. I trimmed most of the fat before cooking. Being deep in the winter he had a bit less fat but was still healthy.
