LOL But you don't still do it right? There are a few locations where I've caught triples that I have set four dirt holes close together but that is four different sets. I have yet to catch a quadruple but I'll keep trying. LOL... No, But I have used double sets for some wise critters in the past few years. I'll do it if I get a trap wise coon. My area seems to get a couple every so often. I guess it's because of the trapping pressure. I'll get a coon that will dig and flip the trap so I'll bury one flipped already and one regular. That usually gets them. Fox, when I used to trap K-9 I liked double sets at times. It all depends on the situation and location. I was never a great k-9 trapper and it made it a bit easier. However, people do not understand what a leash is so I don't really trap K-9 anymore.

I've had my share of encounters with dogs running wild and trespassing dog walkers. I am fortunate to have a great warden and deputy in my area that have gone to bat for me several times. With their help I have been 100% successful against the trespassers/thieves in court and out.
Eh...wot?

Yes 2 wolf or coyote traps set blind in the snow go trail or even pee post sets. James Mast was a proponent of what he called the deadly 4 trap trail set.
you can vote your way into socialism, but you will have to shoot your way out.

I have on cat sets. Had one set that ever night the back side would be tore up. I put a #2 back there and had a big Tom the next morning. For the most part I don’t unless something tells me too. I also have used 2 traps on cat cubbys cause they wouldnt work the front just the back

Hobbie, Yes, I've caught several doubles in the last 2 years since setting 2-3 traps in one location. Somewhat depends on how many coyotes come by each night. I don’t think that’s what the OP is asking. I think everybody makes at least 2 sets at a location. Do you use 2 traps at a set?
