I've been enjoying seeing the response of critters to a box of deer scraps covered up by a mound of hay. I have dozens of videos and have yet to see a coyote actually dig in the hay mound for the meat. I have another camera with a deer rib cage in the woods and they work that over a lot, but they are big chickens when it comes to the mound and maybe being off the woods line out in the field a ways makes them more nervous. Here are a few coyote cams:

The bobcat on the other hand is full on in it, has his head buried right in there, and if you have your volume up you can hear it ripping at the box to get to the meat.

The fox comes in the night after the bobcat and braver than the coyote, but still proceeds with caution and seems content on picking up the scraps the bobcat left. Notice in the 1st video how the fox sniffs near every track the coyote made prior to him coming in on the mound - I thought was pretty interesting and learned from it.

Great video. Always interesting watch how animals react to stuff. Alot of food for thought.

Very cool!! Neat to see how the different critters reacted. Tose bcats are just cool, you can see the muscles in those things compared to the "fluffy" canines. Where's your pile, on a hay field...?

Yes, love seeing the cats too. Had 3 of them at one time come in on the mound a few weeks ago. It's about a 40 acre field bordered by a stream on one side and hundreds of acres of woods on the other.
