I have a 20+ year old Meyer snowplow that only gets used to plow out a few drives for the older neighbors and the headlights don't work. They are original to the plow and I bought new brighter ones but haven't installed yet.

Both don't work and I thought replacing them would fix it. But I got to thinking that the marker lights don't work either, but, the turn signals do. Any ideas on what could be wrong and why do I have turn signals but nothing else? Thanks!!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Check the wiring at the parking light connection

Start simple. Power to the switch? Power from switch to light? Are lights grounded? If new lights are LED some of them are polarity conscious. Be sure you have polarity correct.

GUK.....it's the sound they make when they hit the end of the cable

Are lights powered by switch or relay? If relay is switch wire to relay supplying power as it should? Power to relay? Power from relay to the light?

Hi Scuba, I'm not sure how the thing is wired, it may have it's own relay and or fuse, reckon I'll have to try and trace it down. Is there a reason why the turn signals would work but not the markers or headlights? Could they be on different circuits? I really stink at electrical issues lol.

Hi GUK. They have a toggle on the dash.

I don't know anything about meyer plows specifically, we work on one of snowplows at my work, but they're all boss and western. First step with any light issue is to make sure the truck lights are working properly. Disconnect the plow and confirm that the truck lights are working, and if they are, then you'd need a wiring diagram to go from there.
