Wax Is a feel good thing. It's gone after the first 2 catches.

Wax Is a feel good thing. It's gone after the first 2 catches. Depends on what youre trapping. A must for the lighter critters. with rats ive seen them swim up and climb all over unwaxed traps, jump down and swim away....it made a believer out of me. yea you are correct i generally "feel good" when im taking a critter out of the trap.

Wax Is a feel good thing. It's gone after the first 2 catches. So you don't wax your k-9 traps?

Well if you weaken the springs then you won't have to wax those rat traps and rats won't be jumping up and down on your traps and swimming away. And If you don't want to weaken your rat trap springs then just paint those traps. Paint will just about give you the same results as wax will. And It's a heck of a lot eaiser to paint traps then It Is to wax them.

Where I trap,I wax everything-snares and bodygrips included. It makes them perform better. And its not gone after a catch here in winter when most of us trap, including footholds. The beav thinks everyone in North America traps in the same conditions as he does, lol.

So waxing Is easier then painting? How many Lbs of wax does it take to fill a decent sized pot so you can submerge a trap? Let alone 5 or 6 traps.
I can dump 1 gallon of paint In a 5 gallon pail the add 2 gallons of water, stir and start dipping. I'm going to be done before your wax Is hot. LOL I'm talking about rat traps and small BGs

Why are you always in a rush Beave-stop and smell the roses. Work easier not harder Boco. When you have 400 rat sized foot holds to paint wax or what ever you do to them you need to be efficient. Dipping In paint seems to me the best way to go.
