shanemoss OP trapper S Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,883 Alabama/ SE Wisconsin	I know a bunch of you like that movie. If you’re like me, I rewatch it pretty often. I’ve got a question. When they are leaving lonesome dove and Gus takes the wagon back and gets the sign, it shows that cast iron hanging under the wagon specifically a few times. What’s the deal with that? Is there a significance to it, or just where they keep it? I also thought it may have something to do with the pigs but he intended to leave them, and I doubt they would use a cast iron roaster as a hog trough. Anybody know? Any guesses? When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
