From someone who's been mace well over 100 times I'll say not all mace is created equal. Many pepper spray types are a "mist" spray. Meaning your range is very short and depending on the wind, you're about as likely to contaminate yourself as your intended target. Make sure you get the "Stream" version. I'll keep it short and just recommend the "Freeze +P" ( comes in a black can by AERKO international). They make them from 2oz up to the party can size in 16 oz. Available at your local uniform/equipment store for police officers. Can't speak for every state but I know most states its available to the public....and legal to use for legitimate self defense purposes. Painful stuff so make sure it doesn't end up on you. That is what I use. We have had hardasses walk right through it. I have been hosed during use of force incident so many times I am starting to get used to it. Plus, by the way the OP has his posts worded with the terrible grammar and missing words, it appears to be that he is a kid who should not be carrying any type of weapon in public.

^^^^^^^ Yep. Coonerdude the good guy. He and Mr. Wayne are not big on sentence structure or periods, but you get the gist of their gisting after a while and it comes in clear as Billy Crystal.

Get ya a squirt gun and some skunk essence lmao Winning suggestion. If a cop ever asks you what it is, just tell him to check.

In my younger days a lit cigarette flicked into someone's face usually gave you the upper hand long enough to get your point across. And I would imagine a stretchy tube sock with a roll of quarters (or 2) in it would be dang near lethal. Mike

Coonman-I have heard that a lot of folks are buying the cans of hornet spray that shoots 20 ft. Nothing illegal about it and you can pick up a big can of it for under $5. Some of us work jobs where we are not allowed to carry. I understand that truckers use it and a face full of that will make anyone think twice about moving in on you.
Moosetrot Actually it is illegal to use. Using a pesticide in a manner other than according to labeled directions is a violation of federal law (the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act). 3. It is illegal (finable offense) for anyone to recommend a use other than the labeled use. I worked for a municipality and had a citizen get irate and aggressive so i radioed in to have them send a police officer to the address and the police officer switched to our frequency and called me and specifically said on the radio to spray him in the face with bug killer/spray if he tries to assault you.

Coonman is not a kid. After personally using it for 22 years (and probably 500 or more deployments) I'll say I've had zero failures with this specific product with proper contact (the eyes). I've never seen anyone "walk right through it". Over time you get accustom to the effects but I've never not been incapacitated by it yet....if it gets in the eyes. Not talking about a mist from a block a way, however. The Freeze + P works. Others we have tried, not so much.
