Around here you need a card to buy gas. Very few places can you fill up then go pay. Instead you have to go inside, stand in line, hand over some money, go back outside and fill up, go back inside, stand in line to get change.
Casey's used to let you fill up then go inside to pay, but no more. I was told after FEB 28 they will not serve you without a mask. I intend to go in, get a can of soup or something, put a couple ones on the counter, tell them to keep the change and leave, just to see what will happen.
LE used to attempt to find and arrest gas drive offs but no longer will. They will still write seat belt tickets though.
Cabela's card is capital one. I have no idea who they share information with but they must be gun friendly.

Twolines, we still have a local gas station where you get full service. Can get a new belt on your pickup or buy a tire or get one fixed. Only one though.

I have a Sam's Club card. And as you purchase items including fuel, you get credit for rewards. I even have paid for merchandise at Sam's with the credit rewards.
Its a Mastercard.

Local credit unions have cards. They are very customer oriented.

Citibank has a "double cash" card that you get 2% back on anything you buy. Buy as much as you can with it for the month and then pay it off and you make 2% back. 2% on a 1,000 AR is the same as buying it for $980. Use it to put 10,000 down on a car and get $200 back. Youd be suprised what you can rack up in just gas, groceries, and amazon... plus anything I expense at work I'm making 2% on. Free money you aren't making now. My buddy pays for everything with his. Bills, everything. Then just writes them a check every month. If you spend 50,000 in a year thats 1,000 dollars you get back. I let the money I get back build up and use it for Christmas and Vacations. Sign up here. I don't get anything if you do. Just trying to be helpful. The key is to pay it off every month. Their gamble is you aren't going to do that. If you do, its nothing but win win for you. https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/credit-card-details/citi.action?ID=citi-double-cash-credit-card
