I am jealous, I enjoy hearing them too. Won't be for a couple of months here though.

Today was the first day this year I heard the cheerful sounds of spring peepers. It was in the 60s, and I was trapping beavers in a short sleeve shirt. It was one of the few sunny days in ages, and it sure felt good. I know a lot of y'all are suffering from frigid temps, but I wanted y'all to know it's not that way everywhere.
Plus the old Toyota turned 700,000 miles and still going strong. Same here with the spring peepers. They been noisy for a week or so here on warmer evenings. My Tundra only has 54,000 on it. Lol

Old spring peepers are still frozen in around here. There have been times I have heard them during Feb. before but not this year. Same here. I actually heard some back in the beginning of December when we had a warm spell. looking forward to hearing them in a few months. 700,000 miles is impressive as all get out. I know it's been suggested before but Toyota should hire you and your truck for advertising purposes.
Eh...wot?

It was a nice day here in NC today, needs a whole lot of drying out from all the rain.

Wife says she heard em here a week ago just before the big freeze moved in.

It was nice in NC today. I am a couple hours west of Paul and further north, only 35 miles south of the VA line. Mid 50s here today with some sun and wind after 1 1/2" rain, some freezing the last couple of days.
Late tomorrow night and Thursday, we have another wave of rain coming with temps around freezing again. A couple of degrees can mean the difference in a light coating of ice to being a disaster. And power has not been totally restored to everyone just a few miles north of me from the last ice storm.
So ready for the rain to stop for a few days.
