You have to drive around in frigid temperatures with both windows rolled down and your hood is cinched tight with ratchet straps. The blower motor quit, so to keep the windows from fogging up from my breath,,, I have to drive to work with the windows down until Thursday,,, which is payday,,, so I can buy a replacement. After checking with my test light and determining it was the motor and not the resistor,,, I shut the hood, and it would not latch...... upon inspection,,, I saw the spring was gone,,, looked everywhere in the snow for it,,,, no lunch.... so ratchet straps it is,,,, for now.

Long as it starts and shift gears, you’re good!

If your resistor is bad the motor only blows on high speed which is like the full 12/13 volts.

If the blower is completely dead and you have like 12v there it’s probably the motor.

If you have voltage and really high amps (clamp meter) then you might have something stuck in the fan blades.

What make and model car is it?

I lived in Kentucky for a spell. At that time (maybe still) they had no state inspection. You're riding in style compared to some of the vehicles I've seen rolling down the roads there.

It’s a 2000 Chevy blazer,, it’s got fire all the way to the motor,,, tried whacking it with a tire iron,,, still didn’t work.

They have to be Chartreuse colored straps to get street creds.

You know you're a redneck when you become totally incapacitated because of a bit of cool weather.

I had my blower go out on a rainy day when I was out of town down in Texas. Sure made it hard to see with those windows fogging up and pulling that 18" trailer.

I stopped picked up a blower pulled into a car wash bay so I could change it and stay out of the rain.

I have tied a hood down with tarp strap before. Be careful driving tell you can get your new one in. Driving with those fogged up windows sure was not a good way to have to drive.

When all else fails, get a bigger hammer!

Plug this into the cig lighter and throw it on the dash. Plus, you can dry your hair on the way to work!

I was behind that guy , he was maybe 20 , he was only doing about 35 I stopped traffic and helped him get out of the road , small glass particles all over him

my cousins car when we were in high school a dodge colt 4 of us would pile in after wrestling practice so the heat part didn't matter but it was the passengers job to keep wiping the inside of the windshield the gas tank strap had rusted through so it had a 2x4 and several wraps of fencing wire to hold that side on

I just have to limp it around tomorrow,,, payday is Thursday,,, no intention on even trying to attempt trying to drive it past Thursday without the proper repairs,,, just too dangerous,, especially in these kind of conditions
